L.S.U. defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, who was recruited by Saban, said Spurrier’s comments were extra motivation for the Tigers. “We want to defend him whenever someone attacks him,” Dorsey said of Miles. “He’s our guy. We’re proud to have him as our head coach.” After Saturday’s game, Spurrier put his arm around Miles and whispered to him at midfield as cameras surrounded the two. Miles declined to elaborate on the conversation, but whatever Spurrier said was surely too little too late for the victorious coach and his players. “This isn’t Saban’s team at all anymore,” Dickson said. “It’s Coach Miles’s team.”:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
It's always funny to compare our perception of victories like this against that of national media. Sometimes around here, you'd swear that we lost. Reading articles like that makes it seem like a flawless affair.
i haven't even read the article yet, but thanks for posting those quotes. it's nice to know that the team rallies around their coach like that. those are "warm fuzzy" quotes.
Great article and i am really proud of our guys for sticking up for miles. And they are right. This isnt Sabans team since he left for Miami. And he better have his team ready come Nov. 3rd cause we aint comin to be in a generous mood.
