1. Heard it on the radio this morning that Leak is third string and the two fresmen are battling it out for the starting spot. Very surprised by that.
  2. Whoa......wait a minute......where's Clausen ?
  3. LMAO! You mean that stud Phil Steele picked as the top NFL prospect last year? IMO, he'll soon be slicing bologna at a deli near you.
  4. Well they can forget about beating Florida in their early season meeting.
  5. My guess is that the one who's chosen as the starter knows Kenny Chesney. :hihi:

  6. You mean Rick? His absence from that depth chart is conspicuous.
  7. How many times can one transfer ?
  8. hey goldengirlfan, just wanted to give you the heads up on a great place to catch the LSU games this year. It's at the Shoal Creek Saloon, you may already know of it and been there. Just wanted to let you know in case you didn't.

I watched the SEC CG game there and it was like being in the GA dome. Well not quite, but it was damn exciting up in that place.
  9. Yep, as I posted here last week, pure freshman Brent Schaeffer will likely be the starter at UT this season and has shown a great deal of progress already. He's a significant talent and was recruited hard by Amato to be the replacement for Phillip Rivers at NCSU. He's out of S. Florida and is often described as a "Young Michael Vick."

The Vols won't be hurting for a QB as bad as people thought, but I also wouldn't characterize the situation as a strength either. It's prolly a situation where if Schaeffer plays well early and continues to make progress at the same, rapid rate, then it becomes a neutral rather than a weakness.
  10. Rick Clausen is still the #4 QB at Tennessee. He left what would be a national championship team to get playing time because he was the #4 QB at LSU. That was probably smart, but going to Tennessee was a mistake. The guy was good enough to be a starter at ULM, McNeese, or Northwestern and might have had a long shot at an NFL draft, ala Craig Nall.
