Maybe. But I also think people can see what LSU has accomplished this year and along with their hatred of the BCS, it would give them a reason to vote LSU AP national champion. And LSU would be absolutely deserving.
That and the fact that such a requirement would automatically preclude Notre Dame from being in the title game. Unfortunately, the little sisters of the poor still wield an enormous amount of leverage.
No, I disagree, If I understand it correctly the AP isn't for the BCS system. I think they vote LSU as co champ if for no other reason to throw a wrench into the system. There are plenty of people who want to see this system go bye bye including Okie State and T. Boone Pickens. Heck he probably has more influence and power than the Bama folks especially cause so many people are against the BCS. Some of this stems back from 03 because the media darlings didn't play us. It has just ballooned ever since!
Rece Davis is a bama grad as well, but I have always found him to be extremely fair and unbiased like any journalist should be. Honestly, there are very few Rece Davis' at ESPN anymore. They constantly promote an agenda through their broadcasters, but Rece and some of the other veterans do a better job of filtering that message and phrasing it in a way that isn't quite so obvious. They do their job, but in a manner that allows them to keep some journalistic integrity. Sadly those are very few these days..
Well, it's you're done. And are there only 4 conferences out there? big east, acc, sec, big 10, big 12, pac 12.
You are not understanding what I am saying probably because I haven't explained myself. All conference champions will play in a playoff system. You may have to provide a wild card game or something for teams that aren't in a conference or have all the teams play in a conference to qualify. Notice I said conference champions not necessarily meaning they all play in a conference championship game although I'd prefer all teams play in a conference championship game to qualify.
