Does anyone know if the SEC has announced the game times for the Florida and Auburn football games? I've heard that the UF game will be at night, but what about Auburn? The atmosphere at the Auburn game should be outstanding.
CBS has a SEC doubleheader on Oct 6th and we will get the 7pm gametime. CBS wont put our game on at 2:30 so our game doesnt compete with the red river shootout. Nothing official yet. The Auburn game could be at anytime depending on what station picks our game up. I think it will be an ESPN2 game with kickoff at 8pm or 6:45. ESPN2 also has a 4:45 game slot this year so that could be an option too. Here are the scheduled games so far in the SEC. http://www.secsports.com/index.php?...e_id=5905&url_subchannel_id=&change_well_id=2
From what I‘ve seen, both games will be at night, Florida on CBS and Auburn on ESPN. The Atlanta Journal Constitution (see cached copy at Google) said in early April: Although this hasn’t been confirmed, the CBS schedule does show that a double header will be played on 10/6. The only other game between two SEC teams that day is Vanderbilt at Auburn. Unless Georgia and Tennessee are undefeated and both LSU and Florida collapse, it would make sense that we kick off at 7 p.m. on CBS. Tigerbait, in an article hosted by Yahoo, said of the Auburn game: So again it’s not truly confirmed, but it seems credible. ESPN has a history of picking up the Auburn at LSU game. How does ESPN get this game over CBS? No link, but I saved this from The Advocate back in 2005:
I do hope that the Florida game will be a night game, I will be at Talladega, but I won't miss the game anyways, I gave up going to the truck race last year to watch the game.
What game will have the better atmosphere? Will it be Florida with Tim Tebow or Tubby's Auburn team. I think it's a toss up. However, Auburn seems to bring out the best crowd for LSU.
