We are huge Tigers fan and are coming down for our first game ever in Baton Rouge in a few weeks, but we are unsure what the parking/tailgating situation is on gameday. Can anyone offer any links to sites with maps showing gameday parking or any general locations around campus you like. We like to set up and tialgate so if anyone has any favorite locations please let me know. Thanks. moontree
Re: Gameday parking/tailgating Go to lsusports.net and find the parking map. My favorite is under an oak tree along Dalrymple, anwhere between Highland and the Indian Mounds. If you're early (ie Fri night, 9am on Sat) then there's plenty of space and parking isn't a problem. The corner of Infirmary Dr and Dalrymple (in front of the School of Music) is great.
Re: Gameday parking/tailgating Yes...but f you think you'll just show up a couple hours before the game, think twice, unless you can create a parking spot about 2 miles away, then get towed, walk to the stadium in the rain...:angryfire Sorry..still venting about last weekend.
Parking Question Guys, How early do you think I need go to the game to be able to park north of the stadium? I live on the westside and don't want to have to go all the way down I 10 and then back up to get home because of one way traffic south of the stadium. Thanks in advance
Coolest Bars in Baton Rouge Hey everyone, in a few weeks we are coming down for our first ever football weekend to see our beloved Tigers and hang out in Baton Rouge. We will be coming in on Thursday and we're in search of the best, coolest, fun, etc. bars in Baton Rouge so everyone who has one or more favorites please let me know so we can make sure to stop in on Thursday and Friday night. Thanks and GEAUX Tigers! moontree
Re: Coolest Bars in Baton Rouge It really depends on what you like.... If you like to dance in a really cool environment go to Splash (if you dont mind homosexuals) Its mainly a "gay" bar, but alot of straight people go there because they play the best dance music in Baton Rouge. On Friday nights they have kareoke upstairs at the wet bar. Its a blast! If you enjoy a good comedy show check out Triple A/The Funny Bone. If your a old guy trying to pick up on a young chick or the other way around check out Cadillac Cafe...(they also usually have pretty decent, but it is always packed) And the Varsity is always kickin Those are just a few of my favorites.....if you advise what you are specifically looking for I'm sure we can lead you in the right direction. :thumb: :geauxtige
Re: Coolest Bars in Baton Rouge Damn, that hurts.:sob: They also have older women (for us old guys) waiting to be picked up.:hihi:
