This will be a very tough game for UF. Lsu, even though choked against UT, has a very good offense and physical D-line.

I certainly agree. If we lose to L.S.U. giving us 2 SEC losses, I doubt we will be in Atlanta.

We need this game so that we can still determine our own destiny in the SEC. I am sick of relying on losses from Tenn and UGA. This game is huge for Meyer as well...he needs a big SEC win on the road.

With UGA winning last night, we have to win this game if we are planning on going to Atlanta in early December (at least to play football, anyway!). A loss puts us out of the race as far as I'm concerned, even if we do manage to beat the 'Dawgs.

Heck...if Ron Zook can win there, there's no reason that Urban Meyer can't! We shall see...

I don't see UF being in the game at all. The offense has simply been too shaky to mount any threat at all against teams with stout defense. LSU will win easily.

judging from the egg that LSU's offense laid against Vandy, were they looking ahead to the Gators? are we also circled on their calendar?

If we don't block...we don't win. If you watched last night.... The LSU defense blitzed Jay Cutler and made him look terrible. You think Bama's defense is good...LSU will Blitz us to death and if we don't find 2 TE's and a fullback to block for Leak he won't make it 4 quarters. Meyer needs to have his coaches look at the Dawgs/Vols game. Meyer better have a plan on offense to attack the LSU defense. Like some screens and please.. NO shovel passes.....We need TE Thompson in there blocking....What's his injury status? We need to run at the defense....if we try the option.....the LSU speed on defense will eat it up. But then again if Leak thinks he can sit in the pocket...it will be painful....we need to run and play action against LSU. Dane Guthrie transfering hurt us. Brain Crum should be a good option at TE. We can't spread out the field with a injured group of receivers. Just some thoughts for the week....We should've left Brown on the DL. Why isn't Brandon Daniel playing yet....He's our big run stopper? I think our defense will be good....if we leave Nelson on the field at all times......If we had McDonald...I wouldn't be worried....but I think we will be alright. Let's hope Harvey has a big game. May the Force be with us. And for God sakes...Let's have a real Gator mascot on the sideline for this game.

I have a bad feeling about this game too. I think our lack of offense is going to be a problem in 4 more games this season. I just hope we do not hear that injuries and lack of depth at WR is the cause of the poor offensive performance. I think the problem is the inability of the coaches to work with the players they have and create a game plan around those strengths. Instead they seem sold on this "spread option" which to date is not fairing too well against ranked SEC competition.

After Florida won in 2003, the Florida players danced on the "Eye of the Tiger" at mid-field. Not too cool, IMO.

LSU's players will remember that, and will be looking to take their revenge.

I say LSU wins by 10, giving us 3 wins out of the last 4 over UF.

    Geaux Tigers!

I think it will come down to LSU turnovers. If UF can get 2 or more, we'll win. If not it will be tough.

Don't look for a repeat of what happened v. Bama. We've learned our lesson. The Gator's beat the snot out of Russell last year and the guy doesn't look any better. We should be able to get pressure on him and he'll make some mistakes.

Biggest worry is the O-line and the ability to run the ball on offense. If we can get just a little running game going and make them respect it, it will open the passing game up and Leak will pick their secondary apart. Heck if Clausen can shred them, Leak can only do better than him.

Agreed. And LSU has had problems with turnovers. Think they had 4 against Vandy. Look for this to be a field position game. ST and turnovers will likely be the key. Wouldn't doubt Hetland will have a lot of opportunities Saturday. Heck, I'll take a UF 6 to LSU 3 score in this game if that is what it takes to win. Don't think either team is going to mount any long drives.

Well,at least we are not going into this game realistically thinking we are going to lay 40 points on them.We need to respect this team, they have lots of talent.
I have grave misgivings about this game. I think we COULD win it but it will take a perfect game and playing for breaks and turnovers. The defense will play their hearts out ,but somehow I am afraid of big plays.Or am I thinking of next week.
In any event I hope we can finally find our rhythm on offense and the coaches can come up with a game plan.

I'm not sure I've seen a good game plan since Spurrier.

I think UF will win a close one. LSU to score and stay in game due to RB talent. Meyer to do the same thing he did in UT game, play field position, and try to control ball w/out errors.

We pick LSU qb Russell w/ less than 3 minutes to go to win 20-17.

I agree with the guy who doesn't want any shovel passes heh. I don't think their shovel passes will that successful vs. our DL. They're too good and too aware and too quick to gain repeatedly on that. They may break one, but there's a better chance it'll get stuffed before it's thrown and a decent chance it'll get picked by williams/wroten.
