Again paint your picture. I wanted to see the extent of Martins "owning a gun is unsafe" view. I don't care about the laws. I have been clear in my discussion with Martin about the safety of owning a gun.
The main difference in you and Martin is the extent to which he dismissed the question I asked. He gave a clear one word answer. You are still trying to prove a point that was never challenged.
Understand that he is talking about statistics. It is statistically true that owning a gun makes you more likely to have a gun accident. It is statistically true that driving a car makes you more likely to have a car accident. Taking medicine makes you statistically more likely to have an overdose. Living in the 21st century make you statistically more likely to develop cancers. And on and on. It's just a statistic. It is essentially irrelevant to the topic of gun control just as living in the present is to cancer control.
I know, I just thought it would be possible to get his opinion on the issue of gun control. He did, but it was one word. Lol I did however challenge in a previous thread that you can easily mitigate the risk of owning a gun. Also, the statistic relates to those who die by a gun. It is usually your gun that you die by. Of those deaths, majority are suicides. With that you would think a reasonable debate could be had that even if guns were banned, suicidal people will still find away to kill themselves. I own a gun. I do not feel more safe or less safe. I did not buy a gun for protection. I do not find it likely that I will need a gun for that purpose. I have made it clear in my mind that spraying bullets in my home with a wife and kids is not smart. As such, my guns are broken down in a safe. Majority of the time I only buy the ammo that I will use for the hunting/range trip and expend it all.
"Sorry, I'm wrong" was the correct response here. Since you're asking for a source, why not hit a search on it like you do everything else? Here, lucky I like you. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Govern...-Hammers-and-Clubs-Each-Year-Than-With-Rifles
