Yeah there is nothing I love more than getting the shit slapped outta me, perhaps a hard punch in the stomach first thing in the morning. If I could just find the right guy to kick me in the face......gawd turns me on!! Really? Stop dividing your time between hookers and .........well hookers. Take a nice girl on a proper date for a change.
No, you aksed why Chicago has a high murder rate with tough gun laws, which is ridiculous. Even if it were somehow related to whatever you were trying to get out of him, it's irrelevant as it says nothing about the safety of the individual gun owners. That's nice. And you are still trying to convince us that you weren't implying something that you clearly were.
Nope. Martin was smarter than the bait. The fact that I asked a question to gain a better understanding of Martin's mindset apply's to me. Not what you want to assume. I was fishing and caught a much different fish. Take our conversation for an example. It isn't even about the topic. All you care about is being right. That's all. Whatever you can find you will try to pinpoint me to something even though I outlined my intentions. I asked for his opinion. He gave it. Nothing in that question outlines what I think.... The question I presented is a relevant issue. It is all over the media. Both sides of the spectrum. However the fact is that we make laws here in the states based of data like Chicago, NO, and other cities around the US. You can say the question "illustrates a basic lack of understanding of the difference between correlation and causation", but you are being ignorant of how our nations leaders are writing laws.
Regardless of what angle you claim you were taking, my point remains, as I have illustrated very clearly. You simply don't understand how to interpret or think critically of statistics. Nothing wrong with that; most people don't and it's therefore easy to manipulate their thoughts. Wait, a thread goes slightly off-topic and a poster defends their positions? Wow, what a bizarre world. What question? Why Chicago has a high murder rate and tough gun laws? If you know anything about sociology at all, then you should know that you could literally write a book about it, but you will never find a direction causational relationship with gun laws. Even if this made sense, I have a strong feeling that it would still be horribly irrelevant.
First I need not make a claim about what I told you as fact for my intentions. Your constant accusations are efficacious. Second, you are falsely claiming again. Now you have generalized that I cannot think critically at all about statistics. There are many statistics on gun violence and gun control laws. There are also many studies. However you haven't made a point other than it is up for debate. You are right, a direct correlation in my question couldn't be made, but it is debatable. Having strict gun laws or less strict gun laws currently show zero evidence of yielding an effect that can be claimed as fact, but the data is debatable. If there are facts you can share them, but their are none. That is the essence of why people debate. You have failed in your attempt to prove anything. I have outlined my intentions with my word. If my word is not good enough for you, fine. No sweat. Though the point at which you keep accusing me and adding accusations are only diminishing your weak position.
Then explain the purpose of gun laws and why they are passed. I can tell you that saving lives is very much relevant to the discussion. Right or wrong.
I hoped you knew what I meant. Women that are in abusive relationships don't want out of those relationships, because they are emotionally broken. If you see a guy beating his woman, and you break it up, you haven't solved anything because she could leave him but won't because she has tremendous emotional problems. That why Rihanna dates Chris brown. She wants him to hit her. You never noticed that women in abusive relationships actually seek out abusive men? They don't avoid the beating they search for it. For the record I am the sweetest person that ever lived, I do t beat bitches, I gently tuck their hair behind their ear and tell them they are lovely.
Correct. The relevance is that you shouldn't purchase a gun for safety for your family. It's fine to buy a gun, just like buying a car or a bottle of whiskey. But you are wrong if you claim you will be safer and protect yourself with it.
This interesting because according to the article, some of the armed volunteers have criminal backgrounds, so how can they even legally own/carry a firearm?
