Does this hurt or help Georgia. I know it gives them an extra week to prepare for LSU but does being off now and not playing this weekend get them out of sync? Thoughts?

I think the only time a week off is advantageous to is to heal injuries. If it's to some of your key players, then it's an advantage for them from that perspective.

Just like Skyler basically getting the week off since we played a nobody, it would have been the same had we had a week off.

IMO if they have been reading their own hype and keep looking at that #3 national ranking and knowing that they play at home it will hurt them. If they do not have that killer instinct against LSU they will lose in their own house. It is going to come down to who wants to win more, and coaching skills during the game.

I have always felt an off week hurts more than helps in terms of execution. Just about every analyst disagrees with that, but after years of watching the saints and Tigers this is the conclusion I have drawn. I would prefer not to have an off week prior to a big game.

I think an off week hurts a team cause the Gators always had an off week before UGA but florida always played a real bad game against UGA(Turnovers, flags stuff like that) Even though florida has won 13 out of 14 I think they never played their best football....I remember in 2002 Florida could of had a 35-7 halftime lead but they turned it over and UGA had a 13-12 lead.....Florida end up winning 20-13 but it could of been a lot larger margin!

Get us out of sync? Does that imply that we were somehow in sync before going into the off week?

That is true.....UGA was never in sync so I dont think they BYE week will hurt them cause their offense cant get much worse.
