Really, that is one negative person. Can he enjoy any damn thing? That has to be one of his stupidest columns ever. Like no other school, athlete, etc. needs to be reminded of their losses.
Glenn's been on quite a roll recently when it comes to "LSU bashing". What, he's angling to become Louisiana's version of a Paul Finebaum-kind of curmudgeon?
Yeah, LSU is the only one who does this.:dis: I'm sure Bama no longer talks about The Bear, and Notre Dame forgot all about Knute Rockne, the four horsemen, etc. The list goes on and on for every school that has a little football history and tradition. I'm sure they all wiped out those memories from their school media guide. Glenn, you are a dick...
His point is quite valid, but I don't know why he actually chose to write a whole article on it... Sometimes people should take off their purple and gold glasses and realize that maybe our record at night is no better/worse than during the day... Having said that, because of the "aura" around the night game, I like them better and hope we play more night games than less.
No, our record is better at night, and also he downplays our "aura" and says it is basically nothing special, which of course I disagree with.
It would only be vaild if we are the only school to highlight their history and tradition. Night games at Tiger Stadium is one of our greatest traditions, not because of wins and losses, but because of the atmosphere. Some younger fans and outsiders simply don't understand the history of night games here. Some schools highlight great coaches, players and/or teams. We highlight night games in Tiger Stadium. That's our tradition.
