I think/hope that we will control the clock and give Darby plenty of carries. He's gotten his all year even with the poor play of the Oline. He's a good back and I think that he will do well against the TT D.
Why Hawker? Do you not think that Darby is a good back? Think the TT D can shut him down? I know that our Oline has been absent and that's a big part of why we cant score...and even though in the Auburn game, the score indicated a bad defensive game, but if you look at the numbers, they didn't play all THAT bad. Our D is fast and physical. TT has seen a piece of that in the Texas D, but Texas plays in the Lil 12--we all know how tough it is there. I'm excited and confident about our D!
Darby's a good back. You may not recall, but I stated on a few occasions early on that I thought my Hawkeyes were a little over-rated this year. I wasn't thinking 7-4 by any stretch, but I thought 9-2, 8-3 on the low side. I say that to soften the blow that I also thought Bama wasn't as good as their rankings. My guess is, save bad weather, you don't have enough offense to hang with the Raiders... that's all. You can take some comfort in the fact that I have been wrong on prior occasions.
