Had to tell this story. Last night I told my 8 yr old son that I had tickets to the game and that we were going. (He's been asking to go all year to a game) So he smiles real big, says "YES!" gives me a hug and says "thanks Dad." Just thought it was cool. He's turning into a real fan. That is all....... :geauxtige  :geauxtige
There is nothing like the love of a child and to be able to see those smiling little faces. Hope you both enjoy the trip/game! :thumb:
yeah, i think that's why my dad took me to some many sporting events because my reaction would always be the same. of course, i just wanted to go anywhere my dad went. i was like his shadow
I'll be there with my 5yr old. This will be his first game at Tiger Stadium. We were supposed to go last year, but I live on the MS Gulf Coast and the storm ruined those plans. He's excited, but he has no idea. I can't wait to see his face when sees the stadium, all of the people, and of course, when the band marches on the field.
I brought my little girl to her first game when she was 1 or so but now I cant bring her now that she is 2 becuase when she sees stairs, she is gone.:hihi: I dont want to go up and down the whole game so I think I will wait another year or so. My 8 year stepdaughter lives in Miss with her Dad who goes to Southern Miss. We bring her to most of the games for the past 3 years now. Her father hates the Tigers. But now she makes him put on the games when she cant come with us and plays her LSU band CD in his car. I know it is eating him up inside:rofl:
Awesome. I remember my first LSU game, I was 8 and it was the 1988 game against Ole Miss. LSU won 31-20. :geauxtige
My first game was Ole Miss too, I think in ealy 70's. We didn't have any money and going to McDonalds or Kentucky Fried Chicken was a big deal.......going to the LSU game was like a vacation! :hihi: I remember Terry Robiskie was the man.
My first time in Tiger Stadium was the 'Earthquake Game' against Aub. Easy to see why I was hooked for life after that.
