Any of you on the board hit mizuno's?

I'm thinking I REALLY want a set of JPX 825PRO's and wondering if any of you have hit them?
  2. KyleK See you at the Box!

nope. Mine are old but I don't play enough to justify anything nicer/newer.

Isn't this like beer league softballers wearing under armour.

I still have a pink and gray set of bargain clubs from K-Mart that I bought in 1995. But I only play about every two years. Thus, I'm horrible and would not like spending much on clubs.

    yes.

tommy armour 845s are all anyone needs, and they are cheap and in infinite supply. i smash one periodically and get a replacement on ebay for a quarter.

No, not even close. Those guys should never wear under armour. The 825 series isn't their tour level series. Those are the M's. These are made for guys just like me. Pricey, avg price for a 4-GW set is about $800 to $900 bucks however with spring rapidly approaching and the new lines coming out I should be able to find a set for a lot less than that soon. I'm thinking that the only way to justify buying them is to play a lot more golf. I can't see how that is bad logic.

especially if blondie gets the earrings she wants even though she will eventually throw them at me and lose them or flush them down the toilet long before I snap my 5 iron in half.

i would guess that less than 1% of golf is equipment, at least for you and me.

i actually think i benefit from weaker clubs, keeps me from getting so deep in the woods. also i think almost everyone who isnt super good should hit 3 wood of the tee, the driver is too risky. distance is never an issue unless you are a woman or old. accuracy is all that matters, so i get the cheap clubs that are easy to hit.

1000 seems like alot for clubs. you could go on weekend trip to somewhere fun for that.

Like Florida, to play golf, with master mind and take some of his money to help pay for my clubs. Great idea martin.

I agree with your strategy as well. I've learned to hit 4 iron off the tee on par 5's. 200 yd 4i, followed by another 180-190 yd 4i and I'm looking at a 9i/PW into the green.

Oh and while it may not be much for someone that shoots in the 100's, equipment most certainly matters. Just ask some of those chics you slay.
