LSU’s passing game does not get a passing grade. Not by the standards of today’s modern college football. And by the looks of the numbers of the teams contending for the Southeastern Conference and College Football Playoff championships, the Tigers won’t be among their number until they find a way to earn more sky miles. A lot more. http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/10818056-123/rabalais-until-passing-game-takes
Good article, but really nothing new there. Even the blind LSU fan can see what he sees. Call me when Les feels the need to develop a passing game, that would definitely be breaking news!
Nothing that hasn't been discussed a thousand times on this board, but when it's front page material by a highly respected local news writer, I think it's different. Not saying anything will change, however.
Did I read that correctly? Is Les blaming the receivers for the passing game. He has lost his freaking mind. Jennings is the problem. Les is a joke.
Do you even watch the friggin' games? There were five dropped passes by three different receivers last week.
With even three of those passes, especially the two 3rd and 4 drops by Quinn, we likely win the game. It was that close. So even with a pathetic completion percentage, we could have won without the drops.
The story wasn't about winning that game. It's about the total passing game this season. You can't blame the wide receivers for the passing game for the entire season. It's the QB's fault
i'll suggest this, Doug Meachem took a slightly more athletic QB, that threw to WR's that dropped passes and did not block, and now they do both. The change from last year, a new scheme installed by a very good up and coming coach, the scheme fits the players better than the one it replaced (hint hint). Unfortunately, I am almost positive he will be gone to greener pastures, (BTW he works for far less than the guy at LSU)
This is his quote “We need some young receivers to come of age and be better in the execution of our (passing) game.” Not once did he even hint that Jennings needs to improve.
