    Football related:

Mississippi State had 7 total starters back from last year ------- 4 on offense and 3 on defense

How were they ranked in the top 25?

LSU had 16 back from last year. 8 and 8

How big a win was this? Feels like we should have killed them. Scary we didnt.

Being in the SEC West automatically gets you a lot of cred.

Not sure if they should be top 25, but they still have a solid team. Their DL is fairly good and Dak is a quality proven starter. Still LSU should have pulled away from them. At this point LSU has some question marks, but showed tons of potential.

My largest concern was they only had one starting OL back from last year. There LT was a converted TE == There center never played the position until this year. When we only rushed four they threw all over us.

We may need to impose the Chinese Bandits the rest of the year.

You have to take into account that out D was getting pretty fatigued from having to go right back in the game after 3 a and outs. Dak is good, yes but maybe a few of those easy completions might have been broken up by a fresher player.

Good point! More the reason that we should have mass substitutions on defense. That is why I brought up the Chinese Bandits, we had two complete defensive teams that rotated. I believe the last time we used this strategy was with Gerry Dinardo vs Auburn.

Or Les becomes more balanced on offense. lol

They didn't do much of anything until the defense tired. Plus a QB like Dak is going to make some plays. This defense should improve, but the competition is going to get tougher going forward. My biggest concern at this point defensively is depth.
