By the way, CHRIS LEAK IS REALLY GOOD.

This kid is special - I hope JR can develop into a really complete QB like Leak has. Chris Leak just might throw the best looking passes I have ever seen in college football - it's pretty and it's on target. Leak is a star in the making...

    at the half.

dough...I hate you that you are watching in HD. i am trying to get my wife to buy an HD box (we have the tv already), but she has to have TIVO. The TIVO HD is $1000....way to damn expensive right now.

ALSO....Brodie Croyle (Bama QB) left the game with a serious knee injury tonight. the bama issues "roll" on it seems. hope he is ok

We are actually in the same boat meaning we have tivo and direct tv but no
    HD reciever.
Luckily the tv we bought has a built in tuner and I can hook up rabbit ears here in Denver and get fox, cbs, nbc in High Def.
I can't get abc yet though.

I'm thinking about looking into the dish network because they supposedly provide alot of equipment without you spending alot of money.
I would like to get ESPN and all other High Def channels that I can't get now.

yea, dish network offers a lot of HD stuff now for free, but what do you do with the stuff you already have for DirecTV?

i guess you can sell it, but you won't get much for second hand boxes.

Might as well keep it, maybe you might want to switch down the road again
    if Direct tv gets better.

You can save money going from 1 company to another because they don't want to lose customers in some cases.
I read at a forum where guys were calling direct tv and telling them they were
going to go to the dish network and they were able to get some pretty good
deals from direct tv for updating the equipment.

I just don't want to spend the money and the wife loves tivo so thats why
I haven't tried to do anything.

Since football season is here I now want to look into the dish network and
see just what they have to offer and how I can save money if they'll provide
    the equipment! :)
