Come on Tigers, and take out Arkansas. I want the LSU-IA matchup in the Cap One. I've enjoyed your board these past few days and hope to continue the dialogue up until January 1. A matchup with the defending champs would be great for the Hawks.

I (and I think the LSU community as a whole) has a lot of respect for your coach, as much as I do for Saban. I'd love to see these two great teams (and great, clean programs) play each other in the best non-BCS bowl game.

Beyond the great matchup, it would be a chance for Iowa to even the score with Saban. I'm not completley sure of my facts, but I think the last time we faced Saban at MSU they put up 50 in the first half. That would have been during Ferentz's first season in '99 where we went 1-10. Plaxico Burress had about 200 yards receiving in the game.

LSU has to crack the nut first. Then we will talk.

I would think the last thing on Ferentz's mind is getting even with Nick. That was a long time ago, at a Univ. far far away heh. I wish we had Plaxico...then our QBs would like twice as good :p

I agree, Ferentz has too much class to worry about such things, but us fans are a different story. Actually, it isn't that big of a deal, I thought it was worth mentioning that the last time they met, we were thoroughly beaten. We had a rough year. I need to get going, I have a 2.5 hour drive to my sister's in Peoria, and I want to get there in time to watch LSU. Good Luck
