"Rarely has an LSU-Arkansas game possessed so much sizzle, suspense and significance. When the most-talented team takes on the most overachieving team in the SEC this Friday, we'll learn a lot about two teams who, at the end of their regular-season schedules, still have a lot to prove to themselves and the nation at large."

(lsutiga - you should note that although the terminal comma is optional, and not particularly important in this case, it's missing from the first sentence and should always be included to avoid confusion.)

Great article, thanks for posting. That sums up pretty accurately how I feel.

I'm still concerned about the o-line and run blocking, and our running backs. Our rushing stats look good, but without JR numbers from the QB spot, we'd have been pretty average. If Arky doesn't have to respect the run, we'll be at a disadvantage. Dandy Don said KW was practicing this week, so that may be good. I'd like to see this game be his coming out party. We haven't heard a peep about CS in weeks (at least I haven't) and I hope he's ready this week. Hester will probably get 3 or 4 really good bursts, and I hope Alley and Justin take advantage of their opportunities and bust a few. Talk about running back by committee, we've got a big committee! I hope someone has a great day and achieves at the top level of their ability. Then the worm will turn our way, I think.

    I love this part:

"If LSU ever gets out of its own way, avoids mistakes, and plays up to the full level of its capabilities, its opponent will be bruised, bloodied, and badly beaten after sixty minutes."

it seems liek the team that has the most on the line usually comes out pretty sluggish. its usually us so maybe we use that to our advantage this week. we sure did have a wakeup call against ole miss last week. of course 28-14 against MSU isnt manslaughter by any means.

i think it will be a game won and lost in the trenches. we establish the run, our whole offesne opens up, they establish the run, they are able to pass. both runs stopped, my money is on jamarcus over dick/mustain.

Actually, this game has MUCH LESS significance than our normal match-up. There's no SEC West title on the line (usually for LSU) and Arkansas normally needs a 6th win to become bowl eligible. :hihi:
