This is about a good an analysis as you could do on the debate at hand.

And yes, after reading that article, it does appear to be a travesty that Kansas be ranked as high as #3 in the BCS (#4 in the polls). But what is even stranger is that the computer polls don't account for it any better than the human polls. In fact, Kansas would be #2 in the nation if it was up to the computer polls. You would think SOS would be a major factor and hurt Kansas's rankings, but it just does not in this circumstance. The zero in the loss column means so much more, evidently.

He simply provided the data for what anyone with any sense intuitiviely knows.

I for one, would love to see a KU/LSU matchup for the national championship. I think they'll be going back to the drawing board to rethink the way the system works after that game. Maybe a little more emphasis on SoS?

No, I don't think they'll rethink a thing considering if they win out they'll have done so versus two top 5 BCS teams.

The biggest thing I find duplicitous is the way Ohio States rank was justified because they were an undefeated BCS team but the same doesn't apply to Kansas.

It'll play out in the wash...

Exactly. How soon do we forget. #2 USC, #2 USF, #2 BC, #1 Ohio State. I left out LSU for obvious reasons.

Wow, that guy really did a lot of work to make a point that will soon be moot.

There'd still be an argument to be made that they don't measure up. That would give them 2 wins over top 10 teams and 10 wins against bottom feeders. Where do we sign up for a schedule like that? Oh, we can't, we're in the SEC.
