Whether you like it or not, cheerleaders ain't going anywhere anytime soon. They have become a part of the football culture and atmosphere. And they're nice to look at, too. :thumb:
Did it ever occur to you that the cheerleaders were in San Antonio cheering on the Lady Tigers??? We do have 2 teams advancing pretty far in the NCAA tourny you know....No OTHER school has that problem right now (maybe UConn and Duke, but I believe that's it...and they're both gone from the men's tourny now).
There are two sets of cheerleaders just like there are two different bands. I am unsure as to why they were not at the game, but there probably was a good reason as I do not think that the university would capriciously send the cheerleaders home on Friday after cheering on the team on Thursday. Maybe they had a competition or something?
completely my point in the beginning... must not be important to have them at the elite 8 for men's basketball.
I'd rather the Tigah Gals then the cheerleaders just like I'd rather the Golden Girls over the cheerleaders. Now that would be cool if they could bring the entire group to the final four although I know it won't happen.
I would agree, UNLESS.... they are wearing leather chaps, as the UT cheerleaders were.... wow....they were standing with their backs to our section the entire second half....very distracting! :thumb: :thumb:
