http://louisianastate.scout.com/2/520436.html Grant Fleming, a hard-hitting safety out of St. Thomas More in Lafayette, La., has caught the eyes of various coaches throughout the country as he prepares for his senior year. Fleming first gained attention during his sophomore season, when he recorded 91 tackles and nine interceptions to earn all-district, all-Acadiana and all-state honors.
Looks like LSU has a good shot of landing him. It will be interesting what happens with his 40 time with some extra weight on him if he beefs up to be able to play linebacker.
Seems to be the trend doesn't it? Personally, I'd like to land a ledgit prototypical safety (in the 6-foot-3, 205 lbs mold) one of these days....
I dunno either, but if he doesn't add a lot of weight and keep his speed then I don't see him getting an offer. Not this year anyway, you have to figure that Chad Jones, Stefoin Francois, Terrance Calais, and Phelon Jones are much higher on our list at safety. And all of them, except Phelon Jones, could easily be moved to LB.
