"Coach is always fair," Mathieu said. "That's the thing about him. "He's going to come down on you when you deserve it, but he's not going to keep you down and keep beating on you. He's going to give you a chance to get back in." :miles:
These players play more to please miles and make him proud of them than out of fear of losing their spot. I do think they respect miles and don't want to get disciplined by him for anything they screw up doing. I don't think they are afarid of him. Do you think the kicker for bama was afraid to go into the lockerroom after lsu beat their arse in t-town? I bet that our kicker isn't scared to death to see les if he misses a fieldgoal. He probably goes look for miles because he knows miles will make him feel better about the miss.
I'm really glad Coach Miles is getting some props. For years he's been refered to as a second-tier coach and made fun of. And all he does is win. Check his 74-17 record at LSU and all the wins he has against coaches that have won National Championships, his bowl record and his OOC record. You can't win at an 80%+ clip by accident.
I wonder if the bama players always go ouy early because if you are going to get yelled at you may as well get paid for it.
I think the thing that I like the most about Les Miles is the fact that after a win, he will grab the player who had a great game or was a difference maker, and bring them up to the front of the group of players with him to sing the alma mater with the students. It's so refreshing to see a coach who cares about his school and community.
