I just want to put my two cents in because there seems to be more negativity around here than optimism. Some of it is understood, but most is uncalled for. 1- It was our season opener against a very good PASS oriented team that had already played a game and we managed to pull off the win. We got a chance to see exactly where we're at and now our Tigers have some game footage to review and work on mistakes. We will only get better. 2- We had a lot of dropped passes that were uncharacteristic of our WR's, but the good news is that they were all just mental errors and not lack of talent. 3- Russell is turning into the stud that most of us knew he would 4- The rest of our remaining "tough opponents" are at home, we (the fans) will charge our team up on the field. Let's make this the loudest season EVER in Tiger Stadium!!! 5- One game does not make the season. 2004 Trojans come from behind against the likes of Stanford to win in the last few minutes of the game. I think their season turned out OK. Remember that Stanford wasn't even in the top 25, much less top 15. 7- Lay off of Mile's hat. This aint no fashion show dawg! That's pretty frivolous if you ask me. As I stated in another post, at least he wears a hat. It's exposure for the school (on national television), each and every time they show Miles on the sidelines. To sum it all up: We played the #15 team at their house in our very FIRST game of the season. I can assure you that they brought their "A" game and then some. I think it's safe to say we didn't come with our "A" game. Hey guys, we still got the W. We will only get better and if we lose a game along the way, it's not the end of the world. I still love the Tigers. Oh and one more thing, great throw by JR and great catch by Doucet. Thanks for the effort fellas! :thumb: :geauxtige
great post! I'm sure LSU was not prepped to defend 60 passes in this game. Maybe an actual pass defense can actually show up for the Tennessee game and make this cardiac moment "History".
Yup, you also have to remember that we lost CW and TD, so there is some inexperience at those positions. They'll come around.
