Tulane fires men's basketball coach Finney By Fred Robinson The Times-Picayune Tulane men's basketball coach Shawn Finney, who spent the past five seasons trying to restore the Green Wave's program, has been fired, two sources close to the program told The Times-Picayune. Tulane athletic director Rick Dickson is expected to announce Finney's dismissal in a written release Sunday evening, the sources said. Finney's firing comes five days after Dickson refused to comment about Finney's status.
