    I think Peterson was selected co-defensive MVP along with CJ. You can make a strong argument for PP over Coleman, although the stats don't back you up. That's mostly because teams didn't throw at him very much later in the year. I was surprised that Peterson got nothing on the AP All-American team, and that Black did make it.

    didn't he lead the SEC in passes defended or some weird stat? Coleman didn't even lead the team in tackles. Kelvin Sheppard did, so did Coleman get the award because of his willingness to accept a linebacker role as a senior? I think the reason Peterson was the MVP is because of the Alabama game. If Peterson doesn't cramp up who knows, plus a pick was robbed from him. He had a couple of touchdowns also.
