Ive always secretly liked you guys except when we play each other and love the tradition and atmosphere that you have down there on the Bayou, but my question is if Saban leaves who are the top candidates to replace him? Rumors are flying around on GamecockCentral that our enemy, Clemson's Tammy Bowden is headed there and for the life of me I see know reason on why you guys would even have him on a list of 50 or more names. Just curious and good luck against the Hawkeyes in your bowl!!!
His names has been mentioned and since Skip will ONLY hire a current Headcoach, his name will be on the list BUT he has not done much over the years so I think most of us would be happy if Skip simply said NO on Bowden (Any of them) PS The Gamecocks are my second favorite team, I went there for the game and had a wonderful time up there. Columbia is a great town.
Bowden would be a mistake but I can see him having interest because of coaching at Tulane. He also might like to coach in the real "Death Valley".

the only coach i could consider with acc ties is butch davis - correction wasn't miami in the big east when he was coach. the only coaches east of the mississppi are davis, and spurrier (timing was everything we missed this one).
I agree about Butch. I was thinking that if Saban did leave he's about the best known winner available, unless you could get Gruden, or some other NFL coach, cause Im sure others will get the boot in a few weeks.
Both Stadiums started to be called Death Valley at almost the same excat time. A visiting coach of a small school named Clemson Death Valley. Another visiting coach called LSU Deaf Valley and a reporter thought he said Death Valley. Our Death Valley makes every list of the best stadiums, in any sport, so I am very happy with our standing in the hearts and minds of people all over the country.
I believe and I may be wrong our stadium is called Death Valley for a reason, I read once (I dont know if its true) That where LSU sits was called Death Valley because the Indian tribes used to kill their enemy and display the remains there to scare away enemy... So I am told Tiger Stadium actually resides in a place called Death Valley, so if there is ANY truth to that, history proves LSU was called Death Valley long before clemson thought is was cool and decided to call their stadium that.
In case Saban does leave, what do you guys think about the coach at Tulane? He seems to get the most out of his talent but he is kind of hamstrung by the Green Wave administration. Would he even be a possibility? Just curious. BRING BACK THE ATM-LSU SERIES!!!
