Guys and Gals, I am in serious trouble. My fiance and I scheduled our wedding for Oct 7th of this year. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that was the day that LSU plays Florida. I have tried to get her to change the wedding date due to the LSU game, but she isn't budging. Does anyone know what time the LSU/Florida game is going to start? Our wedding is starting at 6:30 p.m. on Oct 7th. The way that I have it figured, if the Florida game starts at 1:00, I should have enough time to watch the game and still have plenty of time to get ready for the wedding. What is a tiger fan to do????
The heck with changing it to an open date. You tell her this thing is geting delayed until after football season. There is no way you two are going to make it long term if your anniversaries are always during football season. Just think of the years when it actually falls on a game day. If you happen to be a LSU basketball fan and baseball fan too, then you may as well just delay the whole thing until next summer. If she gives you any grief about this, then sever all ties yesterday. Move on.
Thanks for the advice. I don't have TIVO but I think that I may have to get it now. Thanks again for the advice and the congrats.
If she won't change the date, don't marry her! She is controlling things already. That is not a good thing. You will me miserable for the rest of your life. No, I'm not joking.
Dude, how on EARTH did you not know that LSU always plays Florida on that Saturday spot in October? Duh...
There's a reason people get married in the spring. "Marriage is just another union that defies management."
I would have suggested you roundtabled the issue (getting married) in general with some of us married folk before popping the question. Now you are screwed unti you die or get divorced....this will not be the last LSU game you miss because of being married...........................:hihi:
