    Mobius 481,

There are plenty of good choices between 4th and 6th streets. Here's a few:

Seafood and Steak-Trulucks on 4th Street and Eddie V's on 5th
    Southwestern-Z Tejas on 6th
    Hamburgers-Casino El Camino and Hut's on 6th
    Mexican-El Arroyo on 5th

Thank y'all for the replies so far

I like to watch the "tiger walk" right across from Jeff Boss Locker Room where the team enters Tiger Stadium. When tailgating just tell the people you are from Texas. They will make you feel at home. Ken Kleinpeter who works in the press box has his tailgate in the Bernie Moore Stadium field adjacent to the stadium. Just tell him I sent you.

Thanks for the advice. I've heard Truluck's is good, I'll have to try it, and I love Mexican food too.

Alright, so I would say the biggest thing is, you can't get to campus too early. Don't make the mistake of thinking, "oh, it's only 10 AM, no one will be there" They will. If I was visiting with a crew, I would walk around and visit some tailgates. It might be hard to strike up conversation in Tiger gear so I would wear either UT stuff or Ole Miss stuff. You'll get harassed but more people will recognize you as outsiders and invite you to tailgate. As far as bars go, I would say Walk-on's is a great place to go because it's so close to campus and they have post game shows there. You can also go to Serrano's after the game although I haven't been there after the game since they moved the post game show to Walk-ons.

By the way, I will be having a tailgate with about 15 friends if you want to stop by. We will have gumbo and Drago's grilled oysters. Feel free to PM me and I'll give you my cell phone number if you want.

We love feedback from vistors that come to TS for a game. Come back and tell us what you think and how it compairs to other places you have been when you get back to TX.

I'd wear UT garb and yell "Go to Hell Ole Myth, Eat Sh8T", you'll get way more food and drink that way, IMHO. For what its worth, I'd say most LSU fans were pulling for Texas last year rather than USuCk ! Thus, a few "Go To Hell Pete Carrol"s wouldn't hurt either. None of the above is necessary, however, even the Ole Missy fans will be treated well "relative to" the environment.

I go to the Chimes next door to Serranos to watch games during the day and get a bite to eat. That is the closest place to campus. Park early and you wont have to drive the rest of the day.

After the game Serranos has a band outside with a few beer stands. The Varsity next door is also a good place if you dont want to drive.:thumb:

Hey, your resident Drumline Captain here. The band will most likely step off for the march down the hill at 5 or so (always 2 hours before kickoff) maybe a little earlier since we have to start Pregame earlier since it's senior day and they introduce all of them. Also the drumline does a warm-up at probably around 4-4:10 in the Greek Theater right next to the band room on Dalrymple Drive, also at about 4:45 the band will come out and we will play a concert of our halftime show and some other tunes for the crowd in the Greek Theater before we step off. This weeks show is Flight of the Condor, Moondance, and Malaguena so come and watch and prepare to get your faces blown off by this loud (I mean LOUD) show.

I'll be in my usual spot. Up front and to the right...keeping the drunks off of the Golden Girls.:thumb:
