Should BC lose, he seemed almost apologetic in offering up the thought that maybe Oregon should be ahead of LSU for #2 in the BCS. This is my concern that nobjobs like Herby will try to influence voters.
might have an argument. beating an undefeated team this late carries a lot of weight. im concerned about them passing lsu by the end of the year if both win out.
I heard it and I know Herbie does NOT want another SEC team to take on his beloved tosu in the NC game for fear of what happened last year. GO SEC!!!!!:geaux:
This is basically what I was saying in the thread about LSU being #3. Sadly, I'm only surprised its happened this soon.
Mark May and Lou Holtz called Oregon the best one-loss team. So it seems ESPN is back to its usual anti-LSU stance.
[knock, knock, knock]"Hello!, McFly". beating a highly ranked team late in the season carries more weight as beating one early in the season. i didnt say Oregon is better, just that i can see how some think that. none of the highly ranked teams LSU has beaten have lived up to the ranking later. we'll see what happens with ASU.
Also have to watch out for Kansas passing LSU if they should win out the remainder of there games. Why should they be ranked lower than Ohio State when they would be unbeaton in a much tougher conference (that is big 12 > big 10) Depends on how polls look at it. If they want to rank the two best teams 1 and 2 probably would be Oregan and LSU. If they want to rank two unbeaton teams from major conferences then would be Kansas and Ohio St (if both win out).
