Here's a request, if you call into the radio show tonight

...don't be a prick. Les isn't trying to lose games in the 4th quarter. Ask a tough question, but ask it like a human...no need to pile onto an already neck high dogpile. Imagine you having to answer for every action you did at work...how hard it would be for you not to tell any agitators to f* off - but you can't, because if you did every fan and media outlet in the nation would dogpile on you some more.

You'd know you f'd up...like he knows he f'd up - he apologized to JR for the playcalling according to his uncle, so let him have some dignity up there in front of a live crowd. He deserves more than 1 home game to prove himself...and really much more than that. Considering the unprecedented...and I do mean totally unprecedented...circumstances this coach, alone in history, has had to contend with, he deserves more than 1 home game damnit.

 

Here...frikkin....here! Lets show some class people. I hate reading that crap about for sale signs and beer bottles thrown at buses.

agreed -well said. if some of these people would just remember that this wasn't a typical home opener. this coach has been through more in his first month than many coaches go through in an entire season. he has had to do more than coach, so cut him a little slack. I know it's hard for some people, but keep everything in perspective. it's only a football game. go home and kiss your wife/girlfriend or kids because most of us are fortunate to still have them and a roof under our heads. the sun will rise tomorrow and there will be another game on saturday.

 

If the radio show has a lot of callers from this board, he may quit after the callers are through...

 

If he had butterflies in his stomach about running through the tunnel before the game on Monday night, Lord only knows what he's going through before this radio show tonight. I almost feel sorry for the guy.

OK after having two days to cool down, I'm still not happy about alot of things I saw in the second half of that game but even when Saban was here the play calling wasn't as good as I'd like to see. So I do not know if it was all Les or more Jimbo. Also under Saban, in his first year, we lost to UAB at home for homecoming. So I will give Les time like we all should. He is new to this conference, he is new to this pressure. Give him a little time and maybe he will surprise us all. Now our Defense on the other hand is a totally different issue. Some say they were just tired in the second half but if it wasnt for the drops by Tennessee in the first half they would have probably scored once or twice then also. We need to let the boys play. They are fast and talented and need to be able to use that talent and not shut down by this system. And to finish :geauxtigelefire:

Great post philter. Of course, the people that invariably call in with the trashy calls probably can't read, so you're time is probably wasted.
