I've tried three times over the past 5 or 6 years to get to an LSU game. Twice was blown out by Hurricanes and last year a separated shoulder. But, going to try again this year.
I'm an old retired guy and my wife and I are both Cal grads and have had season tix to Cal for years. Every year we take a Cal bye weekend or a game we arn't interested in going to, and instead make a trip to a storied stadium with a great FB history. As I said, missed LSU three times. This year all looked great. on Oct 26 Cal is playing Washington in Seattle, won't be going to that game, and LSU is playing Furman, an OOC game. All looked perfect, then saw it is homecoming. Will that make it impossible to get game tix?
    Thanks for any guidance.

You'll be able to get tix to any game you want next year, homie......I am 100% positive of it.

I agree...take your pick. Shaping up to be a rebuilding season.

Thanks Furman looks good to us. We have earthquakes in SoCal, but not hurricanes. Please hold off on the hurricanes this year. When I get a call from my hotel saying my room has been reserved for FEMA it spooks a SoCal guy. Really want to get to Death Valley, hopefully on a Saturday NIGHT. Been to a lot of stadiums, but DV is on the top of my bucket list.
BTW, Cal has a new coach, our recruiting looks decent. We won't reach SEC level but it's got to be better than 2012.

Pick a better game than Furman. The stadium will be empty by the time they change sides for the 4th.

It's just that that's the only weekend that fits with Cal's schedule. The other weekends we will be going to Cal games. We're not in the same league by any stretch of the imagination, but I played ball there and bleed blue and gold. So I have to look for a weekend when I won't feel guilty.

I understand if you cannot make it work any other week, but you'll be far from getting the true atmosphere of Death Valley for that game. :)

Taking your advice. Auburn works. That means three games in a row, 2 Cal, 1 LSU but what the heck.

You won't be disappointed. Much better to come to an SEC game over a furman game.
Don't worry about beer or food either. Someone will feed you and get you drunk.
