1. Please email our idiot of an AD, Jim Weaver and let him know that he CANNOT move this game! His email is [email protected].

Us VT fans do not want this to happen. Apparently he screwed up the budget when he thought we were going to play in the BCA Classic game, at home next season. Well, the BCA wants us to play an opponent on a neutral field and Nimrod won’t go for it. He claims that he wrote the budget taking into account a 7th home game next year, and must play 7 home games. So, now we have the rumor that he wants to move the LSU game to 07. Well, us Hokies are saying HELL NO!!!!! Weaver screwed up the budget, he made his own bed, now he can sleep in it! He doesn’t need to go and move this game! Us Hokie fans are far beyond PO’d at even the thought of moving this game. He will be flooded with emails from us, so why not flood him with emails from you guys!

If we have anything to say about all this, this game will not be moved! Jim Weaver is the most unpopular person in Blacksburg, and if we could fire him today, we would! Unfortunately, it’s not our decision.

If this does happen, please don’t take it out on us VT fans, we understand that we will look like a bunch of wimps, we understand that we will lose some integrity… we fans understand all that. Unfortun
  2. Uh, isn't that quite illegal to move it?
  3. Man, I'll be so pissed if this ends up happening. Whats with everybody cancelling on us the past couple years? At least we didnt have a home and home agreement with the others.
  4. I emailed him...not that I think it will do much good. It's no wonder that our O.O.C. schedule is so weak. First it was B.Y.U., then it was Marshall and now it looks like it will be V.T. What a bummer.
  5. Don't forget about Bowling Green too!
  6. Dont forget about Bowling Green last year. We had to pick up the Citadel to replace them.
  7. It would be a really chickenshit move. Cowardly in fact, since LSU will likely have a strong team in 2004. VT takes a win at home then skulks away at the prospect of a road game.

    Two things would happen:

    1. VT would pay a $100,000 settlement for contract breach

    2. LSU will not reschedule for 2007, they will drop VT like a rock.
  8. Your AD will collect a check for over $400,000., surely this isn't chump change for VT is it?

  9. Yes it is chump change. $400,000 is the amount we pay rent a win teams and probably the same amount that VT pays. LSU makes $1.8 million dollars for a sold out home game. Whoever we replace them with is still likely to be a sellout but there is no team that we could replace VT with at this late date who would be attractive to the TV networks so LSU would be out of the amount of TV money they would have received for a game against VT that would have been televised. On the other hand VT can pay the $400,000 to LSU and schedule a home game that would give them an amount of revenue way over $400,000. If VT follows though with this they should be blackballed by the entire SEC. Maybe the SEC could even come to reciprocal agreements with other conferences like the Big 10, Big 12 and the PAC 10 whose teams don't buy their way out of games to create a national blacklist of teams like VT. If VT knew that if they backed out of this game they wouldn't get another game with any SEC, Big 10, Big 12 or PAC 10 team or Notre Dame for at least the next 10 years they would think twice about it.
  10. $400,000, What do you think this is about? MONEY????? Well maybe it is for the univerisities, but BY GOD us TIGER FANS WANT a chance at good ol CAJUN REVENGE, for the butt whuppin ya'll gave us last year!!! :) ;) :) ;) :) ;) ;)
