Nope, .........I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling,
    do you?

So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics
intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be
allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of
80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper
identification, secret agents who are members of the President's
security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of
Honor winning former Governors, and leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 & 40 alone because of profiling.

As the writer of the award winning story "Forrest Gump" so aptly put it,

    "Stupid is as stupid does."

That reminded me of trip we took recently.

My daughter thought this was a fun game. We laughed about it, but some passers-by got really pissed.

El Al, the Israeli national airline, sets the bar for airline security.

El Al has NEVER had a flight successfully hijacked. They are considered the safest commercial airline in the world.

    What's their secret?

First, their rigid, thorough security screenings. If you are a first time passenger on El Al, you get a whole lot more of a security check than the standard "has your bag been in your sight the whole time?" If you fly El Al, prepare to be raked over the coals by one of their in-house security officers. First, before you have even set foot in the airport, El Al will have taken your name off the passenger list and done a thorough background check on you, your political leanings, especially as they relate to Israel, your activities, your financial situation (as much as can be gleaned from public records), where and how much you have traveled in the last five years, whether you own any weapons, certainly any criminal record.

You will be asked probing questions about any red flags that pop up on this background check, such as:

"Have you ever been accused (not even convicted, accused) of any violent or drug-related felonies? Do you own firearms? If so, how many? Do you carry firearms in your luggage when you travel? Have you ever visited Israel before? If so, what was your business there? Have you ever visited the Territories (West Bank and Gaza)? If so, what was your business there? Did you exchange any goods or parcels while you were there? Have you visited any Middle Eastern country in the last five years? Have you ever visited any country known for sponsoring terrorism? Have you ever been affiliated with or gone to a gathering of a known anti-Israel political organization? No? Well, our background check revealed you've been seen at several Palestine Soldarity Movement meetings in the U.S. where Israeli flags were burned. Care to explain that?"

Every bag that goes onto an El Al plane is opened. Not just x-rayed, opened and gone through. It's the price you pay to fly the world's most secure airline.

And guess what? Israel engages in blatant racial profiling. They do so without remorse and without apology. They know who their enemies are and what they look like.

And, as the last line of defense, and armed guard flies on every El Al flight.

    Something to think about.

el al is worthy is much respect for the way they do business.

when we throw political correctness out of the window and admit that some people are more dangerous than others, we will be safer. racism is not wrong, you surely can draw conclusions about people based on their race/ethnicity.

I am shocked they let you take a picture of that. My wife tried to take a picture of me having to take of my shoes and belt and untuck my shirt at DFW and the security personnel threatened to take the film from her camera.

    Airport Security........

There was a report on the news up here last year about a two-year-old girl who was taken from her mother's arms and searched after beeping going through the metal detectors at DFW. All the mother wanted to do was hold her daughter while she was being searched, but they wouldn't allow it, and the child became hysterical.

Common sense should still rule. Check a two-year-old, but don't be obvious when checking suspicious-looking people.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard!
As long as this BS goes on we will still be attacked successfully......

I will be looking over my shoulder at the same type of people that attacked us on 9-11 so I am prejudice.

Once a crowd gathered, with people shaking their heads, muttering curse words under their breath at the site, the security probably realized they already looked like big enough a s s holes without telling me what to do with my camera.
