Got this from another fan site: Verification: http://www.houstontexans.com/news/index.cfm?page_type=sub&cont_id=133687 What great timing! I get a chance to shake "Double D"s hand right about the time the BCS moves us up to #2 next week.
I might have to try and make it out there. Is the construction on 59 going to Sugarland still bad or have they cleared it up?
What a year Domanick Davis is having. He's running over people and carrying tacklers for extra yards just like he did at LSU. And he's starting to develop into a threat at catching the ball as well.
I'm really glad to see Domanick having such a good start of his NFL career. I believed he was the best back on the team at the time he was here and was underrated. Don't get me wrong, Toefield was good, but Domanick seemed to always make things happen (especially on returns).
I agree with you 100 percent DarkHornet. He was underutilized here at LSU. He should have been the featured back. Hey Tejas, any Houston gathering for the LSU game, or maybe you have your tickets to go to Atlanta?
You know what I loved to see us do with Davis the most? Towards the end of last year, when he'd line up next to Randall in the shotgun and Marcus would either fake a hand-off to him and keep it and run or he'd hand it off to Double D. We must have run that 100 times versus Ole Miss and they couldn't stop it for the world...lol. Anyway, I did a post the other day for all of us in Houston--LSU watch party at Big Woodrow's (Richmond Ave and Chimney Rock). (www.woodrows.net) -- 3111 Chimney Rock, to be exact Place is usually pretty full on gamedays, but I expect the biggest crowd of the season (obvious reasons) this week. They do it up nicely, with recordings of Tiger Rag and Pregame, etc., AND I understand crawfish is back on the menu as of this weekend (yeah, early season and all, but I'm ready!)
Thanks Tejas....I thought there was a post on it....my bad I may be in Houston....if so, I will be at Woodrows.
