How does this work? Is it basically a belated redshirt? I know it has to do with the player graduating at the end of the summer... Is it only for players who have not previously redshirted or what? Is this extra year easy to come by? If so, do coaches manipulate a players schedule to try to get them that extra year? Maybe we can manipulate Flynn's schedule so he can get one...
Prude and Carey were partial qualifiers. As such they had to sit out their freshmen years, but it is not a redshirt; it counted as though they played. However, they can get that year back if they maintain their academic status and stay on track to graduate. I'm not sure if they actually have to graduate in 4 yrs to get it back or not.
