I've always hated their rankings. So I was checking Calvin Johnson's rivals ranking, and they had him as a 4 star recruit. So from now on, Rivals.com please STFU.:thumb:

Other than that, I wanted to check Peyton Manning's, but you cant get anything older than 2002.

Basically the stats you put up would suggest Rivals did a good job. 4*'s are great COLLEGE prospects.

Their stars are for college teams, not the NFL. You cou;ld have a 5* Option QB do great in college and not get drafted. So those are not good examples at all. I think it is pretty safe to say they do a better job than the average person.

I think Rivals is the most respected recruit-evaluation organization. Certainly better than Scout.

And all of those mentioned were more than great college prospects. But if the top 5 players drafted are all 4 stars, then who are you going to give the 5 stars? sixth rounders?

That is very true. But they still have to do a better job recognizing talent...

I know that tirk and I both hate the stuffing out of rivals. I'm sure that in this case he's cool with me offering that opinion in his stead.
