I was just watching the LF preview and it made me take a look over the standings at SECsports.com

Right now there are four teams eligible.

LSU, UK, USCe, and Bama. It'll more than likely be a total of 6 by the end of today, 5 with no doubt. The UF vs UGA game will be the 5th team to make it and you have to believe Auburn will defeat Ole Miss today to be the 6th. That leaves 5 teams that only have to win two more games to make it 11 for the conference. Either UGA or UF will need one more win to make it. Vandy and Arkansas should end up the day only needing one more win as well.

There's 9. If MSU and UT can pull out two more wins (one if UT wins today against USCe)...

Geez. Going to be a windfall year for the SEC in bowl revenues.

If Miss St. pulls one out against the Wildcats then possibly 11 of 12. More than likely it'll be 10.

    There you go...

Impressive win vs UK as well. Just good, solid game plan with keeping the ball out of UK's offenses hands as much as they can.

How many turnovers in this game?

Vandy and the 'backs took care of their business today. USCe is on the road against Ark next week, aren't they? I know they play.

it's looking more & more like 11 teams will become bowl elligible ... unbelievable

at least 8 teams are almost shoe-ins IMO with the only 3 who may not make are arkansas, vandy, & miss. st. all 3 teams, however, only need ONE win each to get the preverbial 6

    WOW

If we have 11 bowl eligible teams, how many do you think will actually get invites?

Not sure but you can expect someone won't be happy. If LSU stays in the title hunt then someone could get screwed and dropped to a lower bowl. You could be one game from a BCS game...lose...and end up in the Cotton or Chick-fil-A.

The bowl I don't care for is the Outback. They have bypassed SEC West teams on several occasions to settlle for a weaker team from the East. I hope we never play there. It's the only bowl I don't select on my post-season order form.

Hopefully they'll all get a chance to play. The problem with a conference championship game is that the bowls are impatient and like to select teams as quickly as possible. The at-large positions may be filled by the time the SEC tie-in bowls are filled.

Arky and Miss St. still have to play each other, so one of them will be eligible then. Miss. St. also still gets to play Ole P!ss, and has a chance to Croom Bama.

Vandy has tough row to hoe, but might be able to beat Wake Forest the last week of the year to get in.

So after today, Ole Miss looks to be the only team without a chance at a bowl game. Everyone is already bowl eligble except for Florida, MSU, Arky, and Vandy. These for teams only need one more win this season. Right, did I mess up some where?

Of all the teams who are bowl eligible or close to it, I would think Vandy would be the only one not to get selected to a bowl with 6 wins.

Anyway, who would of thought UF would be one of the last to become bowl eligible.

I would guess nine get in. I figure their will be a tie breaker between some six win teams which is a shame...maybe even eight. Truth is, some aren't money drawers.

I would be sweet to get a SEC team to Mobile so i can see it...

And not to mention there will be LOTS of 8-10 win mid-major teams that will try and get the lower bowl bids. Even if we get 11 eligible we only have a certain number of tie-ins and I don't think we would take anyone else's place a in a bowl unless they don't have enough teams there, which is unlikely. However, the fact that we had 11 bowl-eligible more than speaks volumes as our dominance as the top conference.
