for leaving when he did. For those who questioned the hiring of Miles, Saban played a big part in it. Had his timing been different, had he announced earlier in the year what he clearly intended to do, there were some much bigger names available that would have drooled at the chance to coach at LSU.

It is what it is, can't really blame Saban. Sure it would have been ideal if we had a larger coaching talent pool to choose from, but its a moot issue unfortunately. I wonder how we would have welcomed Spurrier if he was still available.

if we had been willing to pay the 2.5 million we were giving Saban to our new coach it would not have mattered. Instead we went on the cheap and got what we payed for.

None!!!!! Saban built the program from the ashes and Skip was handed the keys to a program loaded with talent and headed in the right direction fresh off a national championship. All skip had to do was hand the keys someone that wouldn't wreck the train.

Perhaps Saban say something in the team after last year that he knew he could not change.

But why would you blame the guy for going after one of his lifes goals?

Despite the opinions expressed here, I believe that had Saban announced earlier, and we had gotten Urban Meyer, we would be much better off.. I am a big fan of the spread option and believe that it can be very successful in the SEC... Imagine RP or MF in the back field with Addai, VIncent, and Carey (not to mention skyler green) motioning all around... its an offense built for speed and that is what LSU has in droves...

Blame Saban? For leaving a stockpile of talent? For bringing a NC? For putting LSU football back on the map? No, blame bargain basement Bertman. Saban could be held responsible for Jimbo though.

None. Saban did not run from this train wreck. This was basically created with the new coaching staff.

I don't blame Saban at all, I thank him for what he did here.
Zero blame, he followed his dream like anyone on this board would've done.

I don't believe Urban Meyer is the only good coach out there.
We can't help it if the people responsible for hiring Les Miles screwed up.
Sounds like Joe Dean revisited, does anyone think he could be responsible
    for this?
