I'd say they fielded teams and I watched them. I give them an A because I enjoyed this year just like I do most years.
You gotta give an A. How many colleges are nationally competitive in every sport? The only sport we're bad in is swimming and diving.
Well, since I consider 2005 to be a year in which (football excluded) all of our "best" teams failed to live up to reasonable preseason and even in-season expectations (baseball, men's basketball, baseball), I think a "C" is reasonable. Remember, it's relative: if the University of Houston had the success LSU had in 2005, that'd be an A-plus. When you have a top 10 in the country in revenues-sized athletic department and one of the most committed and supportive fan bases in the country, it's just average when you sorta live up to realistic expectations for a given season in various sports. University of Texas is the only program IMO worthy of an A.
LSU's overall athletic program is very good & one of the top 10 in the country, IMO. If we go on a top 10% curve, that would be an A... I'd give us a B+ for our teams' accomplishments. Facility improvement gets an A+.
Skip gets a big fat F........ LSU as a whole gets a C...... Bertman hired Sling Blade Miles and seems to be happy with Smoke Laval. John Brady looks like John Wooden compared to these two Underachievers. Any AD that had a clue would have made Sling Blade walk back from Atlanta.....
