I think they look pretty cool. Some of the designs are a lil overboard but for the most part they look good. Now if they could only pick a couple and stick with them...but I guess that comes with being Phil Knight's guinea pigs
There's actually a plan. ...."most of Knight's spending is about recruiting. He spends to excess in order to impress high school kids. In the mixed-up world of the NCAA, schools can spend $50 million on gold-plated mouthpiece holders, but if they give a kid $1,000 to pay his mom's mortgage, it's a violation. Knight has poured tens of millions of dollars into what amounts to makeup and jewelry for the athletic department.... mhttp://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/michael_rosenberg/01/06/oregon.knight/index.ht As for the uniforms; recruits are promised a chance to help design the next revolution of Oregon uniforms. Thus every 4 years the uniforms change. Oregon has a strong Business School, with an excellent marketing program. Nike is very receptive to Oregon graduates with Marketing degrees. He's given the Ducks AD over 300 million since 1995. It's all about recruiting.
I like the green jerseys with the duck wings on the shoulders and the silver helmet. Fire away. P.S. I'm sure LaSalle can appreciate this...post 420.
As a duck fan, I like MOST of the uniforms. I'm not a big fan of the uni's with little to no school colors. The ALL black looks sharp, but there is no green, and only highlights of yellow. I don't care for the "carbon" color uni's either (Although the carbon fiber helmets are my new favorite). Again, they look cool, but have little to no school colors in it. My favorite's are: ALL GREEN THROWBACKS BLACK AND YELLOW, BLACK AND YELLOW... (For the Wiz Khalifa fans!)
In recent years, they have gotten alot better. I don't like the wings personally, but most of their unis are better than those yellow monstrosities they used to have.
I'm glad they got rid of the highlighter yellow uni's. They put a serious hurt on the eyes. But the recruits loved them...go figure!
