but with so many teams in the top playing one another, is it remotely possible for there to be a 2-loss team playing in the title game? Michigan would have to lose to Indiana and Ohio St. (not gonna happen) Texas loses to A&M, or in the title game Auburn loses to one of the last 2 teams, or in the title game Florida loses to S. Car, FSU, or in the title game SC loses to Oregon Cal loses to SC ND loses to SC Arkansas loses to Tennessee and us I don't know how the Big East teams would lose... But other than Michigan losing to Indiana, all of these other ones really are realistic... My point of this is not to say we can make it to the title game, because I don't think we can. My point is that if even half of this stuff happens, we can be ranked really high by year's end if we take care of business.
To even be in the discussion, LSU has to get to the SEC CG. We all by now how that can happen (no need to rehash). Then we can start talking about how high we get in the BCS standings. It's nice that we are even talking about it at this point in the season.
Rutgers? Yes it would be a beating of momentus proportions whoever they played but if they win out they will be in the title game with your above scenario...
Just don't see any of that crazy stuff happening. Michigan played poorly last week, so I expect them to play well today and easily win. Just too many one-loss teams out there. Some will lose, but not all of them. I just want us to take care of our business. Let's run the table and see what happens with the West. If we can't get to Atlanta, I hope we end up with a really strong opponent in the bowl game. 11-2 and a possible top 5 finish would be a great season, given our brutal road schedule.
