Why Miles has a much better chance of success tess here than at OSU.... -OSU plays "little brother" to OU in the state of Oklahoma, LSU takes back seat to "NOBODY" in the state of Louisiana -the instate talent of Louisiana well exceeds that of Oklahoma -facilities at LSU are leaps and bounds beyond that of OSU (helps recruiting) -fan support here at LSU can't be touched by that of OSU Miles will be taking over a team two years removed from a national title, loaded with top notch talent, and coming off of a 9 win season. When taking over the OSU job he inherited a team that had just come off of a 3 win season, years of mediocre recruiting, and basically a bottom feeding Big 12 team (tall order he had there) Yet he managed to beat OU (Stoops) in his first two years with that mediocre talent. Now keep in mind that that same OU team was coming off of a national championship season and only lost two games in each of the two years they lost to OSU. Miles then lead his team to a 9 win season in 2003 (3 points away from a 10 win season) So if Miles can take over a 3 win team and beat Stoops with that very same team (two years in a row) and win 9 games in his third season, why can't he take over a talent loaded team(talent that rivals any top 5 team) and win 9 or 10 games and contend for the SEC championship? Keep in mind that Oklahoma State is no Michigan or Texas and they don't get the best talent in the land, so how can one expect them to win 10 or 11 games year in year out. IMO he had comparable success with the talent he was provided. Let's all give this guy a chance and try to be a little more optimistic about this hire. I'll stand behind him and hope that eveyone doesn't start calling for his head everytime he loses. Just keep in mind that we would have never had our past 5 year's of success if Bertman would have fired Saban when his head was being called for by the fans. :geaux:
Les Miles was a good hire! At OSU he recruited the same area as the Tigers, But this time he's not carrying a pee-shooter to the party,he now carries a Cannon! LSU LSU LSU LSU LSU LSU!!!!!!!!!
