I bought some tickets off of ebay for the Auburn game from what seemed to be a reputable seller who had a great rating and 1000's of sales. Well I haven't received the tix yet but the guy emailed me yesterday on his own without my prodding. He told me that the university messed up and he is trying to get it worked out with the ticket office. He didn't give me details, but I replied back asking for the details. He said it will take a little more time, but offered a refund if I wanted. I was wondering if anybody has run across problems from the ticket office? Are there any issues with season ticket holders or anything? I have no idea what the issue is in this case but I'm just trying to figure out what it could be. Thanks, JP
A friend of mine who is a long time season ticket holder just got his tickets the end of last week, so it is possible. Maybe you should set up a 3 way call with you, him, and the ticket office and find out what is going on? Make sure you are the one who puts in the call to the ticket office though.
Not sure the ticket office condones 3rd party sales of its own tickets, especially for profit, hint scalper...:hihi: Later, Fur
Well I got bad news just now. The guy that had the tickets said he was guaranteed the tickets by the office earlier this year but they actually were not. He said he is not getting the tickets. Were there changes in the process? I'm not sure if these were season tickets or what? I'm really PO'd. Now I will probably have to pay a lot more than what I did or just take a chance on finding a scalp at the game. Aaaaarggghhh!!!!
did you get them at an unsually good price? Sounds like he may have found that the market value was a lot higher and is welshing on the deal so he can turn around and sell them later at a higher price. If you really feel like trying to bust him on it you could probably just see if he relists the tickets on ebay later on. Not sure if that's worth your time.
If you call $440 for 2 tickets an unusually good price. I don't think it is unusually good. That is a good idea. I will be watching for his re-lists. That's a good idea.
Good luck. Sometimes you have to watch out with users that do this type of thing, hopefully in your case, it was just a mix-up. Or, maybe not, since you may have a claim to getting the tickets if they are re-listed.
I would flile a complaint with ebay. There are rules about selling items such as tickets. Get your refund first, but definitely report the seller.
