1. It's extremely difficult to suck worse than the Bucs right now. Yet the Saints, and Drew Brees in particular, managed to pull it off in spectacular fashion. Brees and company repeatedly did whatever it took to lose the game. Over and over. Even when given the benefit of a bullshit penalty that took a Tampa TD off the boad, the Saints managed to fuck up and be inept in new and inventive ways when I thought they'd exhausted every possible way to do so. Hey coach Payton, even pee wee coaches know 2 things - NEVER take points off the scoreboard and never count on Mark Ingram when you need one tough yard. Thanks for making Doug Martin into the second coming of Jim Brown.

  4. You're a Bucs fan?

    Yikes.
  5. I felt as frustrated as anyone until Hartley hit the game winning kick. You know what? As ugly as that was, those were the kinds of games we used to lose pre Sean Payton. Now we're 2-0 and have division wins over ATL and TB. WHO DAT!!
  6. Looked like a game neither team wanted to win. Fortunately, there are no polls (that matter) in the NFL. 2-0 is all that counts. This team has quite a few problems to clean up, though.

  7. The O line is gonna get Drew killed. He got hit more and harder than I can ever recall.

  8. No doubt. During the broadcast, John Lynch mentioned that the Saints have given up the fewest sacks since 2006, but that was when they had Goodwin, Nicks, and Bushrod. Jahri Evans is the only starter left from the Super Bowl team. Charles Brown and Zach Streif are garbage tackles, Grubbs and dela Puente are decent, and Evans has been good for about 2 holding penalties a game so far. Unfortunately, we're going to have to live with them.

Another issue that hasn't been mentioned is the play calling has been predictable. I realize we started with 2 division opponents right off the bat and they're as familiar as anyone with what we do, but I just thought the with the year off, Payton would have been sitting back, taking notes, and introducing new wrinkles into the offense. We haven't seen that so far. Lastly, we are the WORST short yardage team in the league. To have it 1st and goal inside the one and not be able to score is troubling. Did anyone notice Ingram on that 4th down play? He had one on one with the defender for TB right at the goal line and couldn't find the end zone. It's time to bench him and see what Cadet can do.
  9. a win is a win is a win is a win is a win is a.......
  10. We went to the game yesterday. Bucs fans are VERY hard to deal with. I think their constant losing makes them mean. There were some TENSE moments sitting in those seats yesterday.
