I didn't know LSU held the record for single-game attendence to a college basketball game(LSU vs. Notre Dame in the Superdome). It's like 68,000+ which is also higher than the NBA record of 62,000+. I read it in The Tennessean newspaper which was eluding to the fact that Michigan State was going to try to break the record next year when they host UK.

Has this been a little known fact or am I the only one that didn't know. Either way I thought it was interesting.:geaux:

I didn't know that either. Wasn't it the LSU-Georgetown game in the Superdome in the late 80's (Blanton GW shot) that also had a big crowd?

Was that a final four or ncaa tourney appearance or just a regular game?

I remember going to an LSU v UNC game in the dome in the early 90's tickets were free.....don't know how many were their but it was a bunch. Oh, and LSU got hammered by UNC.

We also hold the record for NCAA baseball, also in the Dome.
