Miles playing for OT with 2 plus minutes left, in OT not putting the ball in your best players hands. Twice going to the fullback! :angryfire Whatever the heck you call that second half defense!!!!!!!!! :angryfire
I agree; LSU did not want to give Tenn. a short field in overtime where Clausen could dink/dive for a TD. We started with decent field position with two minutes to go and needed to use our (rested) speed on offense i.e.split X. Carter and BB to run deep routes and you could throw underneath all night. We also need to utilize throwing flat passes to our RB working 1-1 w/ LB's. Played to hold on vs. confidence (we lost offensive continuity in the second half where a running threat as a changeup at QB would have been to our "tactical/short term" opportunity to win the game....read b/w the lines)
I'm so upset I will not be able to sleep tonight! Blow a 21 point lead to a team with Rick Clausen as the QB. Great kid, but give me a break. :dis:
I sure am glad I took my son to the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma. I don't think we're going to be heading to any more championship games anytime soon. Who is going to be our next coach? I know they won't dump this guy this quickly, but he'll never make it here. It's one thing to lose a game, but losing like we did will turn everyone's stomach. That thing with him trying to call a time-out after the change of posession put me over the edge. He's in over his head.
