I will now give my opinion on the rest of the games this season. And the possibility or lack thereof of a SEC West/SEC title.

Mississippi State – I don’t think anyone believes this will be a challenge, look for execution issues rather than score.

Georgia – The Bulldogs, although ranked high, understand that they are overrated, they will be looking to prove their ranking between the hedges. UGA has a good offense, but get gun shy in the red zone. Odell Thurman will be returning at MLB and should seal up any defensive woes that UGA had. Georgia is looking for revenge, and this is the worst way to look at a ball game. Saban and the Tigers will have a tough road battle and if they can pull out a W, the road to Atlanta should get a little easier.

Florida – If the last game wasn’t tough enough, the Tigers now will have to deal with Sophmore phenom Chris Leak. Look for Webster to step up and have a good game. As we saw in the UF/UT game, LSU must control Leak and bring a lot of pressure without giving up big pass plays. UF has a young defense so our offense will be at an advantage.

Troy – Gave a terrible Missou a hell of a game. Look for this game to be over early

Vanderbilt – Better than Miss St. but not good enough.

Alabama – Scared me but now that Croyle is out Bama doesn’t have a prayer if we can stay healthy.

Mississippi – no more Manning, no more wins.

Arkansas – Battle for the Boot, LSU will be quick to dismiss Matt Jones, but this could hurt us at the end of the season.

In order for LSU go have a chance on Atlanta, AU will have to lose 2 and we will have to win out because they own the tiebreaker.

    The rest of Auburns games:

    Citadel - …

Tennessee – Two young QBs and a questionable secondary… will be a good game but I think the Burners will run all over these guys.

LaTech - … maybe a game but Miami isn’t that good and decimated these guys.

Arkansas – Good defense but mistakes on offense, look for Jones to have a chance but flush it in the end. Could go either way Ark always has a decent team.

Kentucky – Got beat (bad by an OK Louisville) shut out to be exact, plenty of O but no D.

Ole Miss – No Manning, No prayer

Georgia – Will be a good game, cant call it.

Bama – No Croyle, No Chance.

I was banking after last nights game, that UGA and Bama would give AU their two losses and help us to get to Atlanta, but now that Croyle is out for the season. Have to hope for a Tennessee or Arkansas to come clutch.

Looks like AU will come out with maybe 2 but probably 1 loss.

What do you guys think ?

I believe that Auburn will get beat by either Tennessee or Arkansas and Georgia.

Even though Alabama is without Brodie the Iron Bowl is the Iron Bowl no matter what. The guy taking over for Brodie is a transfer from Miami so this guy may have some talent. Alabama should still provide a threat to beat us and Auburn and maybe win the West. I really wish Auburn played Tennessee next weekend so they would be high headed and get beat. But no, they play the mighty Citadel!

Your guess'/predictions are just as good as mine. Can't argue with anything that you've said.

I must have been hiding under a rock 'cause I didn't know Croyle was done for the year!

    I hate to say this...
I thought we had a favorable schedule after the Florida game but Auburn has it made.
I didn't realize that they don't play Florida until yesterday so their only tough game
    is Georgia now.
I thought Bama would give them fits in the Iron Bowl but now that Croyle is hurt I don't think it will happen even though its an in-state rivalry game that anything can happen.

If Auburn doesn't screw it up they could easily win the west this year.
I don't think they could win the SECCG game though, there is no way they would beat
Georgia or Florida in that game IMHO.

Sadly I don't think we can make it to Atlanta this year, Auburn has to screw up twice
and we have to win out to make it.
I guess it shows you what a wonderful year we had last year.
I'm not saying we can't make it to Atlanta but it doesn't look good right now, look at
2001 for example, its the wild wild west.
We will have a good year this year if we can lose only 2 or 3 games.

With JR playing some this year or maybe starting late in the year if things don't go well
we will be fully loaded and ready next year like Florida of this year.

I'm not saying its gloom and doom so please don't get me wrong, I've never been more
proud than to be a Tigerfan but its never easy when you have to replace QB's and WR's the same year.

Look at the growing pains USuck has on offense and they have their starting QB back
    from last year.

it will be much harder to get to Atl with the L to AU. but not out of the question. I was looking at next year with this team, great schedule. This season is not over and this team like last year will get better and better.....By the end of the year could be on fire...

I didn't think we could make it to the Sugar Bowl last year either, but there we were. This team is oozing with talent that just hasn't matured yet. There is still time to get on a roll but we have some tough games soon and need to get rolling now. Anything is possible but one more SEC loss and Atlanta is probably out of the question with AU owning the tie breaker and having such a favorable schedule.:geaux: :lsug:

What I am saying is, even if we are on fire the rest of the season and win out.... AU has to lose twice in SEC play for us to go to Atl... we dont go to Atl, we dont even get a BCS IMO.

One loss on the season puts us into the top ten and a BCS.

Not if there are alot of 1 loss teams in the hunt and we dont get to the CCG.

    Possible 1 loss or undefeated:
    USC
    OU
    Texas
    UGA
    Auburn
    Ohio State
    WVa
    Utah
    Fresno St.
    Cal
    Miami
............. they all cant go into BCS bowls... alot of deference is given to Conference champs and those they played if its close... I just dont see us getting into a BCS unless we go to Atl.
