Let me preface this by saying I have watched broadcasts of games on ESPN, but nothing else. And I don't watch the pre-game bullcrap before the games are played. Only Steve Young is tolerable and credible on that network. No one else. No one.
I don't understand the ESPN hate but whatever floats your boat. Truthfully, I don't watch a whole lot though. I watch games. I used to be a sportscenter junkie but now I realize I only really care about football.
Can't stand Sportscenter and the BS from the so-called experts and others. I just watch the games, and most frequently with sound on mute.
I'm in the same club as Izzie. I only have free TV (except for netflix) now and don't miss cable. I can't stand the ratings whores they call analysts.
Same here. I use OTA and XBMC. Have an Amazon account (I like it better than NetFlix) and download various crap. Also, XBMC has plugins that allow me to watch the content on network sites, so I tend to watch shows a couple days late.
I understand what you guys think is an ESPN bias against LSU and that they push stories and have an agenda. Everyone does. I don't understand why ESPN is so different. Yeah, they do stuff that annoys me, but I don't run around saying they're evil, etc. I just don't get that worked up about stuff. I'm pretty laid back and it's hard for me to understand when others aren't.
Its not about LSU, I dont care what they say about us, but its the sickening position that they take on people like Tebow, who is irrelevant and the other shows that they put on with Skip and Screaming A Smith.
I hate all of those things too but I just don't watch it. But other times, there are things I do watch like the 30 for 30 series, sportscenter sometimes for highlights, and college gameday (for the cheerleaders). I'm just not someone to declare a boycott because I don't like a lot of the programming.
That sounds almost exactly like me. I love the 30 for 30's, watch sportscenter at times, and usually try to catch game day. I don't watch nearly as much as I did 10-20 years ago (or even 30 yrs when I was a kid and would stay up watching Australian rules football). It has definitely gone downhill but I don't watch those programs and only pay attention to those that are interesting to me personally.
