I think we might be finally getting some credit; I know CFN has been favorable to LSU relative to the rest of the media (a little Sabanism there) but I just noticed tonite that they project LSU to play in the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma. I wish they would give a prognosis on who they think will beat USC as the probability of Ohio State losing to either Pudue or Michigan is fairly high. I still think I might be hallucinating after I read this.
Subject of thread should have been, "I have NOT heard anybody discuss latest BCS bowl projections"...first post and I already look like an OLE MISS moron!
Ohio State will lose 1 if not 2 more games this season. Thsy still have Purdue and Michigan. I think the pressure may get to USC. They still have to play a rival in UCLA, and Oregon St is no chump. Remember that USC did lose to Cal, so they are vulnerable.....especially with the pressure of the Sugar Bowl on them. If LSU wins out, I think it works out for us.
Working too much...I guess I just have not seen or heard that somebody in the national media actually projected us to be in the Sugar Bowl except a couple of locals.
Link to CFN projections Here is the link for anybody like me who has not seen it!! I hope I did this right as I am a "posting virgin".
Considering Oregon St. is due for a victory over USC, this year is just as good as any to do it. And they have Cal as motivation. I agree with you on Ohio State. Both Purdue and Michigan have the abilities to beat them--especially since OSU is determined to continue "squeeking out wins"...Their luck might just be running out. But when you speak of a team wiltering under "the pressure of the Sugar Bowl", you can't leave us out. We still need to show up for the remaining 3 games of the regular season, take care of business, and win the SECCG. We need to stay focused as well! :geaux:
We have the hardest road in my opinion. We play 3 very tough teams, two away from home. If we make it past that we have to face a top 10 team in the SEC Championship game. If we win these 4 games, then we deserve to be in the Sugar Bowl.
No, the hardest road would be for SMU. They need EVERYONE to fall off the map. Just kidding. I assume you mean of the 1 loss teams because Michigan and Texas have even harder roads.
Texas is a 2 loss team with losses to Arkansas and Oklahoma. Michigan is a 2 loss team also. They lost to Oregon and Iowa.
