Question 1: I am trying to figure out who is on scholarship for the LSU football team and who isn't. The way that I have it figured, LSU has 62 players on scholarship and so they can only give 23 of the 29 signees a scholarship. I have the 62 listed below along with their signing class. Please tell me where I am wrong. Question Two: Also are any of the following six players on scholarship or are they all walk-ons? 1. Joe Lawrence 2. Andre Boagni 3. Gino Giambelluca 4. Ryan Gaudet 5. Brian West 6. Gant Petty Question Three: And last question, I could not find these three players on the roster. Have all three left the team? 1. Jerry Sevin 2003 2. Veron Russell 2002 3. Steve Arflin 2001 2004 LSU Football Scholarships (Not counting 2004 signees) 1. 12 Marcus Randall QB 6-2 223 Sr. 2000 2. 13 Corey Webster CB 6-0 201 Sr. 2000 3. 34 Dorsett Buckels LB 5-11 221 Sr. 2000 4. 48 Jarvus Ryes DE 6-3 257 Sr. 2000 5. 58 Lionel Turner LB 6-2 257 Sr. 2000 6. 88 Demetri Robinson TE 6-3 251 Sr. 2000 7. 2 Shyrone Carey RB 5-6 198 Sr. 2001 8. 8 Ronnie Prude CB 5-11 176 Sr. 2001 9. 10 Joseph Addai RB 6-0 205 Jr. 2001 10. 17 Bennie Brazell WR 6-1 166 Jr. 2001 11. 29 Travis Daniels CB 6-1 187 Sr. 2001 12. 42 Phillip Maxwell LB 6-1 220 Jr. 2001 13. 55 Ben Wilkerson C 6-4 296 Sr. 2001 14. 62 Brandon Hurley OG 6-2 258 Jr. 2001 15. 64 Rudy Niswanger OL 6-5 294 Jr. 2001 16. 76 Andrew Whitworth OT 6-7 325 Jr. 2001 17. 82 David Jones TE 6-4 259 Jr. 2001 18. 83 Kory Hebert TE 6-5 248 Jr. 2001 19. 84 Marcus Spears DE 6-4 297 Sr. 2001 20. 90 Melvin Oliver DT 6-3 269 Jr. 2001 21. 97 Brandon Washington DE Jr. 22. 2001 22. 5 Skyler Green WR 5-9 190 Jr. 2002 23. 23 Jason Spadoni RB 6-0 207 Jr. 1L 2002 24. 24 Keron Gordon CB 6-1 188 So. 2002 25. 45 Willie Demps LB 6-1 239 So. 2002 26. 46 Cameron Vaughn LB 6-4 220 Jr. 2002 27. 52 Ryan Willis DE 6-3 266 So. 2002 28. 57 Alonzo Manuel LB 6-3 230 So. 2002 29. 59 Doug Planchard C 6-3 299 So. 2002 30. 68 Terrell McGill OG 6-4 325 Jr. 2002 31. 69 Garett Wibel OL 6-3 297 So. 2002 32. 71 Nate Livings OT 6-5 313 Jr. 1L 2002 33. 75 Brian Johnson OL 6-4 307 So. 2002 34. 77 Peter Dyakowski OT 6-4 294 So. 2002 35. 78 Paris Hodges OT 6-5 329 So. 2002 36. 95 Kyle Williams DT 6-2 288 Jr. 2002 37. 1 Amp Hill WR 6-3 203 Fr. Kevin Steltz Jr. Walk-on awarded scholarship
I am almost certain Arflin and Sevin are no longer on the team. But I do think Russell still is. I never heard of Jarvus Ryes.
Sevin has "Chrones"(SP) disease and had to leave school last spring in order to have his health be the main focus of his life at this time. Hopefully he will be back in the future depending on how grave the disease gets. Lawrence and Gino are walk ons. Gaudet was a walk on also, don't know if they have awarded him. Pretty sure West is on schollarship. Buckles I thought was on Tops. From what I've read Sammy Joseph has petitioned the NCAA for immediate eligibilty due to the shannigans at CU. Arflin and Russell transfered. He is on tops right now but I guess he may be switched to a full schollie if he is allowed to play right away, not sure, but that would give us one less schollie also. The others you listed I am not sure about. Also I am not sure if Steltz was awarded a schollie as Saban lamented last season that it was a shame that he couldn't give a walk on a schollie which is vacated by a transfer because the NCAA makes them count against that year's total instead of the year it was originally issued.
I also have crohn's. I was diagnosed in my first year of college. I lost 1/4 of my weight and surprisingly, the doctor that saved me was the man that has been convicted of injecting his girlfriend with the aids virus! Weird world.:dis: BTW, I have gained that weight back AND THEN SOME!
Thank God you didn't get on his bad side. One of my son's friends was diagnosed with that very early, about 10. he has had myriad problems with his health and has never been able to put on weight, hopefully they will get his under control at some point. congrats to you Richdog.
Cajdav, have your son's friend's parents look into Humira as a medication for Crohn's. It's actually a drug which has been approved for arthritis but it is also in clinical trials for Crohn's. Since it is already approved by the FDA, a doctor can prescribe it for anything. People who don't respond well to the usual medications for Crohn's all seem to really respond well to Humira.
